Lions Club District 404B3 Raises Funds for Service Projects, Presents District Governor to Public

In furtherance of making an impact and continuing its humanitarian projects, Lions International District 404B3 has organised a fundraising luncheon to raise N200 million for the service projects of the 2024/2025 Lions Service Year. Also, it publicly presented its newly installed District Governor, Lion (Dr) Ibrahim ‘Jide Bello to members and other stakeholders at the event.
The public presentation and fundraising luncheon were held recently at Anchor Events Center, Agidingbi Road, Ikeja, Lagos. The event had the creme de la Creme in the society who cut across the different spheres of human endeavours; from Captains of Industries to Royal fathers, government officials, and other stakeholders.
Noteworthy, some of Dr. Bello’s led administration’s proposed projects include building a food court to address the issue of hunger in the country which about 5,000 will benefit. It also plans to distribute about 3,000 free eyeglasses to those in need of it but can’t afford them. In addition, it plans to launch cancer awareness campaigns and support children including their families affected by cancer through medical assistance.
Delivering his speech, the District Governor, District 404B3 of Lions International, Lion (Dr) Ibrahim ‘Jide Bello emphasized the importance of giving back to society, vowing that his administration will work in line with its vision and the new theme of the service year which is “Serving Humanity“.
“Whether small acts of kindness or large-scale projects, every little bit counts in making a difference. Every individual act will take us closer to that world that we imagine a world where everybody has a chance to flourish.
“Reflecting on the diversity of our roles and responsibilities, let us also take inspiration from our International President Fabrício Oliveira: ‘Make Your Mark’. What it tells us is that we need to be proactive, innovative, forever leaving a mark of lasting service. Shall we not be complacent about today’s mediocrity? May our quest be for new heights in this journey of service. Today’s actions shall shape the future and inspire generations yet to come.

Dr. Bello, a dedicated humanist, is a highly respected banker with 30 years of experience in commercial banking operations, relationship management, credit analysis, business strategy, risk management, and marketing.
