Nigerian Brands Urge Muslims to Promote Wellbeing During Ramadan
Nigerian brands are celebrating with Muslim faithfuls across the country on the commemoration of the month of Ramadan.
One of such brands is Mouka, one of the leading bedding brands. It urged Muslims to imbibe the culture of healthy sleep for optimal productivity and well-being.
Also, Rite Foods, one of the leading food and beverage companies urged Muslims to adhere to the doctrines of Islam which preach peaceful coexistence, adding that they should also take quality food and drinks that will refresh them in the holy month.
Noteworthy, during the entire month of Ramadan, Muslims fast every day from dawn to sunset. It is meant to be a time of spiritual realignment — deep contemplation of a Muslim’s relationship with Allah, extra prayers, self-discipline, self-control and empathy for those who are less privileged, thus encouraging actions of generosity (sadaqah) and compulsory charity (zakat).
Mouka’s National Customer Service Manager, Femi Yussuf, stressed that a good sleep schedule during the month of Ramadan can not be overemphasised, urging Muslims to sleep well on good mattresses and pillows like those made by Mouka to relieve stress and keep their bodies well-aligned, so they can wake up refreshed and ready to take on their daily virtuous acts.
According to the Senior Brand and Innovation Manager, Akeem Audu, Mouka is also partnering with the Nigerian Society Of Physiotherapy to educate Muslims on safeguarding their well-being during the sacred month of Ramadan. The engaging content will be amplified on Mouka’s digital platforms and selected newspaper publications.
Similarly, Rite Foods Managing Director, Mr. Seleem Adegunwa, stated that as a consumer-centric company poised towards the delivery of quality products for consumers’ satisfaction with award-winning brands comprising the 13 variants of Bigi carbonated soft drink (CSD) and premium Water, Rite sausages, Fearless energy drink, and the premium Sosa fruit drink for Muslim faithful’s during the holy month of penitence and self-denial as enshrined in Islam.
He urged the believers to uphold virtues that foster unity, decency, tolerance, and love for one another, by what they propagate and are known for.
In the same vein, the Company’s Assistant Brand Manager, Boluwatife Adedugbe, avowed that Rite Foods will continue to cater to the needs of consumers with its leading brands that are produced with state-of-the-art infrastructure and in a first-rate factory in line with global best practices.
She affirmed that Rite Foods will continually identify with its consumers with initiatives that add value to lives, and also felicitate them in times of their religious undertakings.
