NIGMA 2026 to Shine Spotlight on Gospel Music Excellence at MUSON Centre

The Nigeria International Gospel Music Awards (NIGMA) 2026 is scheduled to take centre stage on Sunday, 9th August 2026, at the esteemed Agip Recital Hall, MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos. This highly anticipated event was announced during a media briefing by the Academy of Gospel Music in Nigeria, the organisation behind the awards.
Now in its fifth edition, NIGMA continues to stand as one of Nigeria’s leading platforms for honouring excellence, creativity, impact, and positive influence within the gospel music industry.
During the briefing, Kingsley Omoefe, Founder and Team Lead of NIGMA and Chief Responsibility Officer of Golden Heritage Limited, highlighted the awards’ purpose: “NIGMA is not a competition but a celebration of excellence, creativity, consistency, and positive impact in gospel music. We believe that recognising outstanding contributions within the industry encourages growth, inspires future generations, and strengthens the role of gospel music as a force for hope, faith, and national development.”
Beyond the awards ceremony, NIGMA 2026 will spearhead a nationwide Mental Health Awareness Campaign. Leveraging music, media, faith communities, and strategic partnerships, the initiative aims to promote emotional wellbeing, hope, and healing, particularly among Nigeria’s youth.
The event is expected to draw leading gospel artistes, music ministers, media personalities, industry stakeholders, corporate organisations, faith-based institutions, and government representatives from across Nigeria. Attendees will enjoy an evening of glamour, live performances, special recognitions, networking opportunities, and moments of inspiration celebrating the transformative power of gospel music.
Organisers assure that NIGMA 2026 will deliver a world-class experience, reinforcing values of faith, excellence, culture, and social impact.

Nsikak Daniels, Project PR Consultant for NIGMA 2026, emphasised the event’s broader purpose: “NIGMA has evolved beyond typical award ceremonies. At its heart, it is about inspiration, transformation, and the power of music to positively influence lives. It’s a gathering designed to encourage excellence, celebrate purpose, and inspire greater achievements within the industry and society at large.”
He further expressed that this year’s edition will showcase the best of Nigeria’s gospel music industry in an atmosphere of creativity, inspiration, and excellence.
“The August event promises an unforgettable experience, featuring outstanding performances, meaningful recognitions, engaging conversations, and memorable moments that will inspire and motivate long after the curtains close,” Daniels added.
