NIMN Ikeja Swears in New EXCO
The Ikeja Chapter of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) has sworn in newly elected executive members who will steer the affairs of the institute for the next two years.
The swearing-in ceremony/presentation of the certificate of return to the new executives was held at the Berger Paints ‘Training Centre, Oba Akran Ave, Ikeja, Lagos on October 18, 2023. Recall, that the Electoral Committee led by Ayoola Akomolafe conducted the election.
Meanwhile, the newly elected executives include Dr. Kehinde Joda, Chairman; Sir Jellily Efedi, Vice Chairman; Chima Augustine Ibiam, Secretary; Anthony Daniel Igumah, Assistant Secretary; and Eric Birhiray, Financial Secretary.
Others are Justin Akalezi, Treasurer; Titilope Josephine Osinfowokan, Social/Welfare Officer; and Stephen OkwudiliOkoh, Public Relations Officer.
In his acceptance speech, the new Chairman of the chapter, Dr. Kehinde Joda thanked the members for allowing him to serve them. He, therefore, called for stakeholders’ support to actualise the vision of the chapter, stating that his administration would create platforms where marketing insights would be shared; it would also leverage technology and other initiatives that would empower members.
“My vision for the NIMN Ikeja Chapter is one of unity, innovation, and excellence. It is a vision that reflects the core values of our profession and our commitment to the marketing community. It is a vision that places each of you, our members, at the fore of our concerted efforts toward a thriving future.
“I envision a chapter that prospers through collaboration, where the collective wisdom of our members drives a momentous agenda. A fostered environment where diverse perspectives are not just welcomed but celebrated. An inclusivity that leads to fresh ideas, dynamic approaches, and innovative solutions to every challenge that may come.
“We will be disruptors in our field, embracing change and technology to stay at the forefront of marketing trends. Our chapter will become a hub of knowledge, a place where marketing professionals come to gain insights, share expertise, and build lasting connections. ”

Akomolafe who spoke on behalf of the NIMN President, Idorenyen Enang urged the chapter to come up with laudable initiatives that would move the institute forward.
He charged the new executives to work together, be dedicated to service and build on the success of the past administration, and also develop mechanisms to boost membership.
Also, the Chapter’s Immediate Past Chairman, Adebayo Oke said his administration was able to save a lot of money because of the new meeting venue and other initiatives it embarked upon and tasked the new executives to build on those achievements and take the chapter to a new height.
