NIPR@60: Lagos NIPR Urges Govt to Leverage PR to Drive Economic Transformation, Celebrates Anniversary in Grand Style

Lagos NIPR has urged Nigerian government at all level to leverage public relations as a tool to drive economic transformation.

The Lagos chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) made this known during a walk had recently to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of NIPR.

With pomp and pageantry, members of Lagos NIPR turned out en masse in a carnival-like atmosphere to celebrate the anniversary.

According to a press release signed by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Chapter, Samuel O. Adeyemi, the event, themed “Walk for Economic Transformation,” commenced in front of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) House, Ikeja, and concluded at the JJT Park in Alausa, Ikeja.

Speaking on the significance of the walk, the Chairman of the Chapter, Mrs. Comfort Obot Nwankwo, emphasized the critical role of the PR profession in driving economic transformation.

She stressed that Nigerian policymakers must urgently prioritize public relations as a pivotal tool for transforming the nation’s fortunes.

The Diamond Celebration was commemorated simultaneously across all 36 states of Nigeria.
