Olumide Aruleba Joins Tropical General Investments Group As Marketing Manager

A consummate marketing professional, Olumide Aruleba has been appointed as the Marketing Manager of Tropical General Investments (TGI) Group.
The Group’s business cut across Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Food & Agriculture, Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals and others. Some of its brands include Terra Seasoning Cube, Golden Terra, Big Bull Parboiled Rice, Renew Cold Water Starch, and among others.
Prior to joining TGI, Aruleba was the Head of Marketing of Rite Foods Ltd where he was responsible for driving marketing strategy for the company, delivering the company’s KPIs (share, profit, value, and volume), and also providing clear leadership in the marketing of media assets through promotions, events, campaigns, partnerships, branding and franchising to monetise media asset.
In his new role at TGI, he will over the general marketing activities of the brands within the group and come up with strategies that will help them capture more market share in their marketing space.
Aruleba is an experienced marketing professional and certified advertising practitioner with more than 13 years of track record in Marketing, Sales, and Commercial.
Adept at delivering extraordinary leadership in solving business challenges, reversing declining business, launching new brands/SKUs, executing breakthrough digital campaigns, holistic marketing, and trade plan to grow share in top multinational FMCG and across various leading companies and brands, Aruleba is expected to ring his wealth of experience to bear on his new position.
Before his new appointment with Rite Foods Ltd., he was the Marketing Manager at Perfetti Van Melle where he played a role similar to his present position.
He also served at Promasidor, where he led the marketing manager for Culinary & Cereal and Tea, Coffee, Beverage, and Energy Drink. Before then, he was Category Brand manager, Candy West Africa, before he was elevated to Acting Marketing Manager, for Gum & Candy West Africa, at Cadbury Nigeria Plc. He led the implementation of the Country Category P&L Delivery as agreed in Annual Contract as well as implemented superior consumer and customer activation of agreed brand equity, renovation and innovation 4-2-1‘s.
The marketing professional is a product of the Obafemi Awolowo University, where he bagged a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and has won numerous awards and recognitions.
