Prof. Uzo, Obi, Soetan, Malize, Adefeko, Others Inducted as Fellows of NIMN
The National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) has inducted 68 marketing professionals as fellows of the profession. Some of the newly inducted fellows include Prof. Uchenna Uzo, Faculty Director at Lagos Business School; Dr. Mitchell Obi and Ejiro Omonode, both Veteran Sports Journalists; Folake Soetan, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ikeja Electric; Chizor Malize, Director-General of the Financial Institutions Training Centre (FITC), Tosin Adefeko, Chief Executive Officer, AT3 Resources and among others.
The conferment of fellowship and induction ceremony was held in Ibadan, Oyo State at the weekend. It was part of its three-day 2024 Annual Marketing Conference held from 20th-22nd June 2024.
Fellowship in the marketing profession is the highest status of membership in the profession. It is conferred on practitioners who have been registered as (full) members of the profession and have, in addition, met other criteria as well as impacted significantly the development of the profession.
Speaking at the ceremony, President and Chairman of the Council, NIMN, Idorenyen Enang charged the new fellows to continue to contribute to the growth of the profession and make themselves available and accessible whenever called upon by the institute.
He added that they will also need to mentor young practitioners entering the industry. “As fellows, we need you to contribute to the growth of the marketing industry. We also have a new generation of young practitioners and I charge you fellows to mentor them so they can be able to compete favourably with any professional in the world.”

Other inducted fellows include Abudullahi Rabiu Umar, Dr. Abiodun Martins Sangobiyi, Abisola Titilayo Niyi Ladipo (JP), Adeleye Adetunji Oluwasegun, Adeniba Olufemi, Dr James Adewole Adenmosun, Adeyemi Gideon Taiye, Agu Bridget Eniye, AkhenamenCharles, Akinrimisi Olabode Samuel, Alexander Nyitor Shenge, Ani Brain, Awosika Ayo Click, Ayobami Olaiya Obafemi, Baba Shettima Kukawa, Babatunde Lasaki, Bamidele Chris Onalaja, Bolaji Junaid, Chinyere Emmanuel Igwe, Dr. Olakunle Komolafe, Chioma Mbanugo, and Debbie Larry-Izamoje.

They also include Dr. Amos Panama, Dr. Babatunde Sunmola, Dr. Blankson Governor, Dr. Damilola Olanrewaju, Dr. Jude Nwaulune, Dr. Justina Anaetoh, Dr. Kizito Alakwe, Dr. Victor Emmanuel, Kayode Akeem Adebiyi, and Emmanuel Ojo.

The dinner and induction ceremony had the crème de la crème in the marketing industry and other stakeholders.
