In recognition of his many humanitarian and philanthropic gestures, the Group Managing Director of Rosabel, Ayo Oluwatosin has been awarded the Rotary Achievers Award by the Ojodu Rotary Club at the Rotary Global Awards and Fund Raising ceremony held at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, recently.
In his welcome address, the awards Committee chairman, Okechukwu Uche-Ukah explained that Rotarians are problem solvers who come together to make positive and lasting change in various communities around the world. “Rotary through it members (Rotarians) have used their passion, energy and intelligence to take actions on sustainable projects including promoting peace and resolving conflicts, fighting diseases, providing clean water, sanitation and hygiene; saving mothers and children; promoting education and literacy, and supporting community development and economic empowerment, especially for women”, he said.
Achieving these is possible through Rotary’s guiding principles which have formed the foundation values of the organization and includes service, fellowship, integrity, diversity and leadership. In his reaction, Oluwatosin expressed his appreciations for the award. He said that the award will go a long way in spurring him on to continue in his chosen path of philanthropy and promoting humanity. “I feel humbled by this gesture.
