Theatremania Africa, Shodex Gardens, Nkan Media Team up to Host Whispers Stage Play On Easter Monday

In a vibrant lead-up to the highly anticipated TheatreMania Africa Festival (TAF), which will take place from October 14th to 17th, 2025, in Lagos, Nigeria, the organizers have launched a Quarterly Stage Production initiative. This initiative invites distinguished CEOs, busy executives, and select Nollywood stars to showcase their talents on stage.

The upcoming stage play, titled “Whispers,” aims to attract art enthusiasts and theatre lovers alike, encouraging these executives to invite their families, friends, and colleagues to witness their artistic expressions.

Scheduled for Easter Monday, April 21st, 2025, “Whispers” will take center stage at Shodex Gardens, with performances at 3:30 PM for the matinee and 6:00 PM for a special command performance.

Producer Alayande Stephen T., who is also the CEO of TAF, describes “Whispers” as a compelling narrative that explores themes of love, rivalry, and societal complexities. The play, infused with drama, dance, and comedy, reflects the rich cultural tapestry of Nigerian families, addressing issues such as generational feuds and the importance of unity.

In a notable twist, a “plant a tree” campaign will accompany the performance, highlighting the significance of climate change awareness as part of the play’s sub-themes.

The cast of “Whispers” boasts an impressive lineup, featuring Nollywood superstar Rotimi Adelegan, legal expert Otunba Olu Adenodi (Barr.), horticulturalist and CEO of Shodex Gardens, Olusola Adekoya, and many others, including Helen Sosu-Ezirim and Julius Olaoluwa Oyekanmi.

Otunba Olu Adenodi expressed his enthusiasm for participating in this innovative initiative, stating, “It’s a fantastic opportunity for busy executives like me to engage with theatre and support the arts. It’s been over 45 years since I last acted on stage, and I can’t wait to share this experience with everyone.”

Written by Ola Thompson Tabi and Uwagbai Paul, “Whispers” promises a blend of entertainment and education, making it a must-see event this Easter.

The stage play is produced in collaboration with Shodex Gardens and Nkan Media, with support from various partners, including Finnova Corp (QUIDBOT), Platos Health, and multiple media outlets.
