Top Golfers Molinari and Waring Set to Compete at Turkish Airlines Open 2026

Turkish Airlines, the airline that flies to more countries than any other, has been the title sponsor of the Turkish Airlines Open since 2013, bringing the world’s top golf stars together with fans in Antalya. Over the years, the tournament has hosted some of the sport’s greatest players, including Tiger Woods, Sergio García, Tyrrell Hatton, Justin Rose, and Rory McIlroy.

Among the top names confirmed for the 2026 Turkish Airlines Open are Major Champion Francesco Molinari and Rolex Series Winner Paul Waring. The event will take place at the National Golf Club, situated within Regnum Hotels, from 30th April to 3rd May. It will serve as the fifth and final tournament of the DP World Tour’s Asian Swing, part of the opening phase of the 2026 global schedule.

Molinari made history as the first player from Italy to win a Major Championship when he claimed victory at the 147th Open Championship in 2018. The six-time DP World Tour winner has also represented Europe in three victorious Ryder Cup teams, in 2010, 2012, and 2018 – where he secured the winning point at Le Golf National in Paris.

Paul Waring achieved his first Rolex Series title at the 2024 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, paving the way for dual membership with the PGA TOUR. Other notable players competing at the event include Andy Sullivan and Alex Fitzpatrick. Sullivan is currently ranked fourth on the Race to Dubai Rankings.

Turkish Airlines’ dedication to golf extends across both professional and amateur levels. Since 2013, the airline has hosted the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup, recognised as the world’s largest amateur golf tournament. The latest edition was held in 122 destinations across 83 countries.
