Vice President Shettima to Grace NACC’s 65th Anniversary Gala in Lagos

The Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce (NACC) is gearing up for a momentous celebration as it marks its 65th anniversary with an extravagant gala dinner, featuring His Excellency, Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Kashim Shettima, as the Special Guest of Honour.
Scheduled for April 12, 2025, the prestigious event will take place at the Lagos Continental Hotel in Victoria Island, with a red carpet reception commencing at 5:00 PM.
A key highlight of the evening will be the inauguration of Alhaji Sheriff Balogun as the 20th President of the NACC. He is expected to introduce his leadership team and lay out strategic initiatives aimed at bolstering trade relations between Nigeria and the United States.
The gala will also see the induction of 40 new members into the chamber and the official launch of the NACC’s multi-storey building project.
In addition, the event will honor exemplary Nigerian and American companies, as well as distinguished individuals, including former presidents of the chamber, for their significant contributions to economic growth and trade relations.
The event will be chaired by Mr. Samaila Zubairu, President of the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), with notable dignitaries in attendance, such as Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State, and Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole. Other esteemed guests include Chief Michael Ade-Ojo, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, Aare Afe Babalola, Catherine Uju Ifejika, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, and Leo Stan Ekeh.
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu will serve as the Chief Host for the occasion.
For 65 years, the NACC has played a pivotal role in enhancing bilateral trade relations between Nigeria and the United States, serving as a leading platform for business growth, networking, and investment opportunities.
