Winners Applaud The Price is Right Nigeria for Impacting Lives, Turning Dreams into Reality
Winning millions of Naira and merchandise by just getting the price of some products could be something amazing and unforgettable for consumers; that was the feeling for winners of The Price is Right (TPIR) Nigeria as they redeemed the prizes they won on the iconic game show.
The excited winners from episodes 1 to 9 converged at the office of Genesis Studio, organizers of TPIR Nigeria recently, to redeem their prizes ranging from cash to electronic products, home appliances, and others.
Anthonia Adeniyi, Project Manager, TPIR Nigeria said the event was to present prizes won on the show to the lucky winners to let viewers know that the winnings in the show are not staged and the winners are real people.
“We are glad that we have our winners here to claim their prizes and all thanks to Airtel, SmartCash, and all our sponsors for making the show a reality,” she stated
Yinka Adebayo, Group Executive Director at Omnicom Media Group, commended the headline sponsors, Airtel Nigeria and SmartCash for supporting the show and transforming the lives of Nigerians while he applauded Genesis Studio for delivering on its promise.
“It is one thing to promise, it is another thing to deliver. Thanks to Genesis Studio for promising and delivering. Also a big thanks to Airtel and SmartCash for making the show a reality,” he stated.
Similarly, Bashir Adebesin, Manager, Media Buying Algorithm Media, said, “What is happening today is to show the winners and viewers that all they see on TV is actually real. All thanks to the team that put this together and the brands, Airtel and SmartCash by Airtel.”
The winners couldn’t hide their excitement; one of the winners, Kokoluwa Essien from Cross River State, who won One Million and One Hundred Five Thousand Naira (N1,150,000), thanked the organizers and sponsor, Smartcash, for delighting Nigerians.
“I wasn’t really expecting it when I came to the show. I actually came to have fun, but I am excited that I won. Thanks to SmartCash and The Price is Right (TPIR) Nigeria for giving me the opportunity.”
Chima Flavour from Ebonyi State, who won two hundred and fifty thousand Naira (N250,000), a washing machine, and a fruit mixer, urged other Nigerians to participate in the game show, adding that she never expected that she would win but only gave it a try. She added that the products and money she received made her life safer and would impact her life positively.
“Nigerians should participate in the show, and they should have a positive mindset that they will win. I told my friends, let me go and try my luck, and I was called upon to participate, and I was happy I eventually won.”
Also, David Gabriel from Kogi State, who won a Laptop, a Smartphone, and two hundred and fifty thousand naira (N250,000), applauded the organizers of the show for empowering Nigerians, especially during this period.
Another winner, Nwachukwu Angela, said, “I feel very happy, pleasant and joyful winning. I won a router, a smartphone, and five hundred thousand naira (N500,000). Collecting my gifts I can see it is real. I didn’t pay anything for it, I came in without hope but I am going home with something.”
‘The Price is Right Nigeria’ organized by Genesis Studio, founded by Olatunbosun Olaegbe, is a franchise of the international version of the television game show where contestants compete by guessing the prices of merchandise to win cash and prizes. The legendary US version of The Price Is Right currently attracts over 5.4 million viewers per episode.
The show, which commenced airing September 1st in Nigeria, is hosted by Mannie Essien and Chioma. ‘BBB’ Okpala (as announcer).

Recall that Airtel disclosed that the sponsorship of the iconic show reflects its vision of transforming lives and giving back unconditionally as it is not only to its over 64 million subscribers but also to all Nigerians.
To participate, interested individuals can register on the ‘The Price is Right’ website, www.thepriceisright.ng, to be invited to join the live studio participation. Alternatively, the home studio play option allows participants to engage from the comfort of their homes using the mobile app. They can also bid to win amazing prizes by downloading Anybid and playing on the app.
Additionally, Airtel and SmartCash customers can be randomly selected to participate in the TV show. Airtel also plans to introduce a USSD option, enabling customers to dial a short code to play and win prizes such as MiFi devices, routers, and household items from the comfort of their homes.
